No other retailer takes wine collecting and bar-side entertaining as seriously Pottery Barn. Since our customers desire craftsmanship, originality and clever design, we offer over 20 unique home bar styles – and the selection keep growing. Among them, four designs stand out. Our Modine, Glasgow, Markham and Modular Bars bring traditional styles into modern life, earning them a central place in the home.
The Markham Console Bar and Hutch was inspired by the rustic, rough-and-tumble wood of an antique workbench. Saw marks, grooves and peg holes that suggest years of use bring rich character to the pine wood surface. The console’s trestle base features a deep gallery shelf for bottles and even a hidden drawer under the table. Additionally, a cast-iron bottle opener is mounted on the side and the crank-shaped, cast-iron towel bar makes a useful accent. Top it with the hutch to create more storage for glassware, dishes and more.
The Glasgow Entertaining Bar on four fixed wheels is based on a salvaged factory cart. Its hand-worked materials of iron, rustic mahogany-stained wood and steel characterize its design roots back to the dawn of the Industrial Age. The wire-mesh baskets can be removed from either side for easy portability. A whimsical, small-scale piece like this lives easily in a sunroom or covered porch where occasional entertaining happens.
At first glance, the Modine Bar looks like an unassuming standard cupboard with closed doors. But once you open them, the deep shelf doors fold out and the double tabletop expands to a generous 77 inches of bartending space – double its original size. Inside there’s room to store sixteen bottles of wine, hang glasses, and keep tools in the drawer and supplies on ten shelves. After the party, this ingenious piece once again closes up to a small 38.5 inches.
But the most popular of all our bars is the Build Your Own Modular Bar Components. With these four components – Open Hutch, Wine-Grid Hutch, Cabinet Base and Wine-Grid Base – you can compose an endless variety that fits spaces of every size. Stack them into towers, create rows under windows or a complete wall of wine. Their versatility and smart looks makes this collection an easy choice.
These four are just the beginning. Check out our complete selection online to find the perfect style and finish for your home.
