Designed By You: Pottery Barn Custom Fabric

Due to the overwhelmingly positive response to our Fabric by the Yard collection, Pottery Barn now offers Custom Pillow Covers made from the same high-quality upholstery fabrics.

When sales of our Fabric by the Yard more than tripled our expectations, we recognized that customers definitely wanted to enhance a room’s décor with coordinating furnishings. Whether they were upholstering a bench, hanging window coverings or making pillow covers to compliment a Pottery Barn sofa or chair, they wanted the room to look pulled together, professional and unique.

Our design team decided to lend a hand by offering custom pillow covers in four versatile sizes—an 18” square, 24” square, 8X30” bolster and 14 X 36” lumbar pillow.  Available in over 75 neutrals, stripes and patterns, these pillow covers are finished beautifully with a discreet hidden zipper. 

We envisioned these custom covers as a boon to designers working on larger commercial projects as well as smaller residential designs. The wide variety of fabrics and easy-to-use sizes means there are endless options for customization.

Of course, Fabric by the Yard extends the possibilities for customization to sofas, sectionals, window coverings, seat cushions, table linens, bed linens and pillows of any size or shape. Given the range of projects and fabrics, no two rooms will look the same.

Available in four different fabric grades, the Fabric by the Yard fabric swatches may be viewed at a local Pottery Barn, but both Fabric by the Yard and Custom Pillow Covers can only be ordered through the catalog or on the internet. Shipping is free.  Imported inserts are sold separately.

As you well know, the easiest way to instantly update any design is by adding or changing the pillows. And if a Pottery Barn upholstered or slipcovered piece is already part of the room, our new line of Custom Pillow Covers will make it easy to take the design to the next level.
